IT support in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire
IT support in Cambridge from someone who actually turns up
When something breaks you do not want a ticket number. You want a person who knows your setup, answers the phone and can be at your office the same day if it needs hands on it.
What goes wrong
The things that actually go wrong
Most IT problems are not complicated. They are urgent. A machine that will not boot on the morning of a deadline. Email that quietly stopped arriving three days ago. A printer nobody can reach. Somebody who left in March and still has access to everything. That is the work.

Computers and servers
Desktops, laptops and servers that have stopped behaving, and new machines set up properly with the old ones wiped and retired safely.

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Accounts, email, shared drives and who can see what.

Networks and wifi
Wifi that drops in the back office, routers, switches and cabling. Printers and scanners too.

Backups
And checking that the backup you think you have actually restores.

Security basics
Updates, antivirus, password practice, and removing access properly when someone leaves.

Who it is for
Businesses of roughly two to twenty five people who need someone reliable but should not be paying for a full managed IT contract. Accountants, solicitors, clinics, trades, agencies, shops and charities around Cambridge.
How it works
1. You call or email
If it can be fixed remotely it usually is, often the same day.
2. We agree a time
If someone needs to be in the room, including outside office hours when that is less disruptive.
3. It gets fixed
I arrive with my own vehicle and my own tools.
4. Plain English afterwards
What I found, what I did and what I would do next. No ticket queue and no account manager.
What it costs
Priced by the job, not by the clock
You know what you are committing to before you commit. No contract, no minimum term and no monthly fee for the privilege of being a customer.

Questions people ask
How quickly can you get here?
Usually same day within Cambridge, often within a couple of hours if it is urgent and I am not already on a job. You will get an honest answer about when I can be there rather than a promise I cannot keep.
Do I have to sign anything?
No. You call when you need me. If you would rather have time set aside, the ten hour pre paid block gives you that without a contract.
What if it turns out to be a five minute job?
The two hour minimum on site covers travel and the fact that a short visit still takes up a slot in the day. If it really is that quick, I will usually spend the remaining time on something else useful while I am with you.
