IT training in Cambridge
Training your staff on the systems you already have
Not a generic course. Not a video library nobody watches. Someone sitting with your team, working through the software they use every day, on your actual setup.

Why generic training does not stick
Most IT training teaches a product in the abstract. Your staff then return to a setup configured differently, with your folder structure, your naming conventions and your particular quirks, and within a fortnight they are back to the old way of doing it.
Training on your own system, with your own files in front of them, does stick. People remember what they did, not what they watched.
What gets covered
Whatever is actually slowing you down. Common ones:
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace properly
Not the basics everyone already half knows. Sharing without emailing attachments back and forth, version history, permissions, calendars that work, and Teams or Meet used deliberately rather than chaotically.
Files and folders that make sense
Where things live, why, and how to find something eighteen months later. Unglamorous and enormously valuable.
Security that people will actually do
Recognising the phishing emails that are convincing, using a password manager, multi factor authentication, and what to do in the first ten minutes when something looks wrong.
Backups and recovery
What is backed up, what is not, and how a member of staff restores their own deleted file without needing anyone else.
The specific application you live in
Your practice management system, your accounts package, your CRM. If it is what your business runs on, it is worth an afternoon.
New starters
Getting someone productive in their first week instead of their first month.
How it runs
Small groups work best, ideally under eight people so everyone can ask questions. Half a day is usually the right size, because attention genuinely does fall away after that.
At your office in Cambridge, or remotely if your team is spread out. Sessions can run early, late or over a lunch period if taking people off the floor mid morning is not realistic.
You get a short written summary afterwards that people can refer back to, written in the same plain language as the session.
What it costs
| Half day session | £550 |
| Full day session | £900 |
| Remote sessions | Same price |
That is for the group, not per person. Training six people costs the same as training two. Remote is the same price because the preparation is identical, and the preparation is most of the work.
Questions people ask
How many people can attend?
Up to about eight comfortably. Beyond that it stops being training and becomes a lecture, and people stop asking the questions they came to ask.
Can you train just one person?
Yes. That often happens with a new starter, or an owner who wants an hour on something specific without an audience.
Do you provide materials?
You get a written summary afterwards covering what was shown, tailored to your setup rather than a generic handout.
What if we need it more than once?
Plenty of clients do a session, let it bed in for a month, then do a second on what came up in the meantime. That usually works better than one long day.
